The neck-through section is pre-cut, ready to install into a box of your choice, and can be installed either tight against the underside of the top of the box, or left \"floating\" with a gap between the neckstick and underside of the box top.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese necks are virtually ready to install, they just needing drilling for the machineheads and strings, final sanding and a finish of your choice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePosition dots are installed into the fretboard, together with side dot markers. The neck is fretted with Van Gent Xtra jumbo gauge hard nickel silver fretwire. Also supplied are a 5mm machine screw for the nut, and two mahogany tailpiece trims, thick and thin. The machine screw nut simply drops into the pre-cut slot and will give you a nice action suitable for both fretted and slide playing. It's very simple to raise the action should you wish by putting in a shim of veneer or thin plastic in the nut slot, or you can lower it by filing the slot a little deeper for super-low action.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese necks are available in 3 sizes, to suit long (280-300mm), medium (240-275mm) or short (220-240mm) boxes.
